Social Media Campaign for the Volunteer Fire Department
When Marshal thinks of the borough of Berlin, he sees a community who helped his family provide for themselves over the past four generations, starting with his great-grandfather Don who built Engleka Auto Sales in the mid-1940s, which provided for his family for another three generations. That success could not have happened if it wasn't for a healthy community that backed and supported its local merchants. Fast forward to today, where Marshal realizes this effort that the borough gave his family over all these years, and Marshal wants to pay it forward by giving back to the community that once provided for him by being a public servant for the borough. Marshal's goal is to treat everyone in the borough with the same respect and integrity his family received.
Marshal believes in fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms, that hard work and being a good moral and ethical person pays off in the long run. He is a firm believer in a transparent approach where no person shall be left in the dark. Marshal’s economic policy is basic. You can’t spend money you don’t have, and that any functional government needs to save money to make future investments for the community without compounding debt.
Now elected, Marshal will strive to...
- Bring the Berlin Borough into the information age by updating/creating its social media platforms. While also revamping the Borough's website by updating and including all ordinances to increase knowledge to Berlin's residents.
- Help and assist the water authority in updating the Berlin Borough's aging water infrastructure.
- Create a transparent and fluid line of communication between the Borough and its other town agencies and organizations.
- Inspire youth and other young adults to engage and be active in community organizations.
- Increase his knowledge and insight into government operations at the local level.
- Marshal J. Engleka
